dad, what does true love feel like?
well, kids, it’s the hardest, simple thing to describe. what I mean is it’s so simple to me I feel it I live it. you guys feel something similar for me and your mom, right? you’ve loved us since you were born. so imagine what you feel for us. that should get you started in the right direction.
dad, you’re silly.
it’s easy with me and your mom. our love is comfortable silence. it’s wanting to tell each other good news. it’s being able to tell each other the bad.its complaining to each other about others ,it’s sharing all of life’s moments. it’s taking care of you guys. it’s peace in the chaos. it’s one of the only things I’m sure of. we don’t always understand each other, but we know each other, and we try. it’s trying when you have no more try left. it’s finding that person in life that completes your life. your mom completes my life. she has different skills than I have. we compliment each other. she gave me you 2 and we love you. she takes care of you guys and me sometimes. love isn’t always 50/50. sometimes, it’s 80/20. it’s real and true because I’ve never felt that way about anything or anyone else. I’ve known your mom now longer than I haven’t known her.
I want to write something dad.
dear mommy I love you mom. I love you and I play I spy with you I want you to say. i love you.
that’s all it is kid. it’s I spy. it’s laundry. it’s cleaning. it’s all the good and all the bad. it’s everything we want and more. it’s worth dying for. it’s worth living for. it’s worth finding. it is faith in another person. it’s honest. it’s someone else before yourself. selfless. it’s precious and rare and should be treated as such. I consider myself lucky. your mom is my whole world she’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. that’s true love kids its a lifetime wrapped in a moment the moment I met your mom. I truly love your mom.
